Sen. **** Durbin talks about being without health insurance
January 13th, 2009 | by Rick |Politicstv asked:
So 1 in 6 Americans don’t have health insurance, but did you know Sen. **** Durbin (D-IL) was once one of them? At the Center for American Progess, Durbin recounted his personal experience as a young father without health insurnace and how Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC helped care for his infant daughter through a program they have to assist uninsured Americans.

So I should help support a smoker, a couch potato, a high risk person? Insurance is betting that something will happen to you. The company is betting NOTHING will happen to you. They spend millions going over the odds of you having a need. Government STAY OUT of my business.

Durbin and Democrat just don’t get it. A company providing health insurance is called a “Benifit” not a right. They just don’t understand that it part of the expense of employing workers. The government should stay out of this issue. The government can’t control 12million illegals crossing our borders, but they think they can manage your healthcare?

All these politicians beat up on the insurance company costs. The dopes don’t question the run away costs of hospitals, doctors and in needed treatments?
The same goes for college costs. Durbin only wants to lower the stinking interest rate on a loan. He has never questioned how much a college charges for providing education for a talent that is not in demand.

And finally, I don’t even fucking vote. One of my jobs I get payed under the table because I have to. And live in a dirt bag, criminal cess pool of a town and refuse to follow any of it’s dumb laws or limits. I refuse to be told by someone else about what I’m *blindly* accepting from the government and be blamed as a “zombie” for your problems. I know just as well as anyone that a lot of governments and things today are a load of ****. But some people get off on that, and it’s that simple.

Actually I’m in the process of moving to one of those countries right now. And I can tell you the very people that live there I have personally talked to and they ENJOY it, and encourage me to move there as they find it will be easier for my family. Forget conspiracies theories and what you’ll accept down your throat from a video or ***** pot, because I know the very REAL pain of this current system and being WITHOUT insurance. So please, take your newly found religion somewhere else than me.

Thats how they trick you.. with ‘compassion’. they get to your feelings… you put them in power…then they rule every aspect of your life. There are plenty of countries with free healthcare. … I dare you to move to one of them and see how nice it is.

We’re talking about people’s health and well being, not the way an entire government or society works. Go back to Nam and step on some more land mines.

Durbin needs to be tried for treason for calling our troops murderers during a war…that HE VOTED FOR! This guy flip flops like a kennedy or a clinton. I don’t wish ill on the guy but I sure hope he gets to use his health insurance.
oh…and by the way…if you can afford a cell phone, you can afford health care! Don’t tell me otherwise! I pay more for my cell phones than I do for my insurance. GET REAL…impeach this bum!!!!

We seriously need Universal health coverage now. See, a lot of people like to argue about how you should work for your insurance, that they selfishly don’t want to help pay for national coverage for their fellow country men as well as themselves. Here’s something a lot of people arn’t seeing, and that people currently ARE employed, are trying NOT to be welfare scumbags, and they STILL can’t afford or had to drop their insurance. “Socialized” is just a word, the cold war’s over, get over it.

Furthermore, we live in the USA and the whole premise of our country is that we don’t HAVE to do anything by government mandate. I realize that laws have been getting passed for way longer than our lives that are in direct opposition to that but that is the original concept and I like it. For instance, I have no problem on a personal level giving money to the poor. This should be up to me though and not something I am forced to do by my government.

Really? What are you 10? Why can you not post anything with name calling and profanity? Univeral healthcare MIGHT work better than what we have now. I clearly stated that the situation is not good. “Pre-existing” conditions is what really pisses me off as I am sure you too. Historically, anything the government gets involved with gets rather botched. Not just our government, but, globally. Read up on economic history and you will see that is true.

alright dickface. name one reason why universal healthcare is worse than what we have now. or even name why it wouldnt work. you make these statements without backing them up. and if you have not actually dealt with the healthcare systems and billing departments one on one, or if you have not gone through multiple surgereries, then dont even say a damn thing cause you have no idea what your talking about and no justifying statement.
